Film screening: The Greenhorns
Monday, October 24, at 6:30 p.m.
Northwest Film Forum
Free; RSVP required
One of the greatest food challenges for our country is the aging agricultural community—40 percent of U.S. farmers are 55 or older. However, driven by a variety of reasons, such as the uncertain economy, nature, social justice and patriotism, a new generation of farmers is returning to the land. The Greenhorns is their story. Several young farmers, including film director Severine von Tscharner Fleming, will attend a screening of this inspiring documentary.
